rain, rain, rain

Kyou wa ame desu.
Kinou mo ame deshita.
Shippemoi seikatsu.

There's rain today.
There was rain yesterday.
A damp life.

XD yes, more haiku. this time i didn't make that up, i took it from a fanfic called Yugureden that LJ user mephistophylis wrote~

anyway, yes. it's been raining a LOT since this weekend. and rain makes me sleepy, or it makes me want to be really lazy. which is what i've been doing a lot lately. x___x so my goal for....something. Lent? maybe. is to be less lazy, and start doing my homework right after dinner so i can sleep earlier. like for example...tonight. XD; it's almost 10:30 and i haven't exactly started my hw. *headdesk*

saa~ here's what i have to do, not just for tomorrow but for...eventually:

>> Spanish homework
>> write English essay first draft
>> work on my two fanfics [1. Yabu & Shoon ~ no title yet 2. Yamashita Reon ~ Out of the Shadows]
>> start my other fanfic [Senga & Nikaido ~ no title yet]
>> sign up for permit test
>> figure out when i want to take SAT
>> decide which SAT IIs i want to take

ehh, that list is probably missing a few things, but i'll edit it if i find more things i have to do XD

yada~! 10:30 PM now....BYE!

x____x

more homework to do
it has been a long day
i have to sleep soon

[i came up with that right now XD; i think i like writing haikus best because they are so short and easy to make! not to mention when we were doing them last semester in Major Religions class i really enjoyed it and now whenever i get super bored, haikus form in my brain >D]

but seriously though. today was a very long day. =____=

~school [stayed until 5]
~Japanese class from 6-8 pm [i'll write about that later, along with Winter Ball]
~homework

well in retrospect it doesnt seem like much, but the 1st and 3rd things on the list were looong.

@.@ well i'll end this here since i'm UBER TIRED. xP oyasumi nasai minna~

poems for English class

hm~ i was printing the final copies of these poems for my English class and i thought, why not post it here? :D these are three poems parodied off of Dickinson, Hughes, and Piercy [in that order--

“I like a look of Love”

I like a look of Love,
Because it melts my heart—
Most men don’t understand that feeling,
But oh they love to simulate it!

The Eyes glance once—the start of Love—
Impossible to deny
The question in the Heart
Of a possibly requited passion.

“The Asian Speaks of People”

I’ve known people:
I’ve known people childish as my little brother and more elderly than my grandmother.
My soul has grown deep like the souls of people.

My sister bathed me when I was young.
I laid my head down near my mother, who lulled me to sleep.
I looked upon the faces of my friends and raised my voice to call them over.
I heard the chatter of busy people on the streets of China, and I’ve seen the city lights from the top of Tokyo Tower.

I’ve known people:
Wise, understanding people.

My soul has grown deep like the souls of people.

“A Work of Restraint”

The young woman
in her graduating class
could have gone on
to a prestigious school
like Princeton or Yale.
But her mother
cautiously limited her.
She will be getting married.
Every day as she
pulls back her hair,
her mother asserts,
It is your nature
to be small and agreeable,
domestic and powerless;
how lucky, my daughter,
to have a man to love.
With young women
one must begin very early
to suppress their thoughts:
the restricting rules,
the questionable intentions,
the hindrance of skirts,
the freedom
of choice.

off to go think of a title for my "collection of poems" for the cover page! bye~ (^__^)

XD
